A Quest to Inspire Young Minds

The Nobel Prize has always been a dream of scientists across the world. It is one of the highest accolades for achievements in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature, and Peace comparable to what Olympics is for sportspersons.

It was Alfred Nobel, a Swedish scientist famously known as the inventor of the dynamite, who donated all his money to establish five prizes which became known as the “Nobel Prizes”. The first Nobel Prize was awarded in 1901. Since then it is being awarded every year to a scientist or a group of scientists that has made the most influential advancement in each field. The prize consists of a medal, certificate of appreciation and cash award. In 1968, Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank) established the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
